The term online trading explain the commercial activities via Internet for the purchase and sale of financial instruments. This service, also known as T.O.L., is provided by financial institutions, such as banks (brokers), through digital platforms that allow the sale financial assets, such as stocks and bonds, to private persons or companies (investors). The law applicable has been subject to several changes, in Italy the Commissione Nazionale per le Società e la Borsa (Consob) communications DI / 30396 of April 21, 2000 summarizes the rules applicable to online trading while at European level the regulatory latest regards Directive 2002/65 / EC.
